It has been such a blessing to be a part of CMOMB! Meeting women from all over the world and having the opportunity and pleasure of praying for each one regularly.
Although each of us come from quite diverse backgrounds, we all shed that diversity when it comes to our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Our strength is NOT in our “diversity.”
Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines diversity as Difference; dissimilitude; unlikeness.
Our strength is in our unity in Christ. Colossians 3:12-17 says, “So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity.
Many times in Scripture, we, the Church, are told to encourage one another in spiritual things. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 says, “Therefore encourage one another and build up one another, just as you also are doing.” This is such a large part of Christian Mommies of Many Blessings (CMOMB). A big part of encouragement for us ladies, is keeping our priorities straight. Even as early as the Garden of Eden, God set up that the husband was to be in authority over woman. The remaining framework is set up so that God is the head, then Christ, then our husband, ourselves, then our children. This has nothing to do with our value in Christ: In that, we are all equals. God is a God of order and He is truly just in all His ways. Someone needed to be the head. We ALL have a head over us, including our husbands.
Our fellowship here at CMOMB includes Bible studies, praying for each other, scripture exhortation each day, praying for our husbands, etc.
We realize that if our relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ is off, and our relationship with our husband is not right, then what we do, how we act (or react) with our children, will not be in alignment with God’s best.
